MD-HIP is a medical preparation in the form of an injection (shot), classified as a Class III medical device. It contains type I porcine-derived collagen in the form of tropocollagen.
Its purpose is to support the reconstruction and regeneration of connective tissues (e.g., tendons, ligaments) that may have been damaged due to injuries (such as trauma or surgery), aging, UV radiation, environmental pollution, or other factors leading to the weakening of collagen fibers.
Additionally, the product contains calcium phosphate – the main mineral component of bones – which supports the formation of new bone tissue and proper bone metabolism. It has been included because, in osteoarthritis of the hip joint, damage to the femoral head (osteochondrosis) or osteoporosis often occurs. Supplementing calcium phosphate helps slow the progression of these changes.
